Gero
Grundmann
Gero studied Graphic Design at the Surrey
Institute of Art & Design before completing
a Master’s Degree in Communication Art and
Design at the Royal College of Art. He graduated
with honours in 2003. As a Research Associate
at the Helen Hamlyn Research Centre he designed
eye health campaigns for the Guide Dogs for the
Blind Association. Together with RCA Design Products
graduate Julia Lohmann, Gero founded the South
London design office studio bec
in 2004. Since then he has been working on a range
of projects in the corporate, beyond-profit, and
cultural sector. In addition to design and communications
work, Gero provides professional English-German
translation services. He is also a sessional tutor
in Graphic Design at Norwich School of Art &
Design and the Surrey Institute of Art & Design.
